MSIG Insurance
(Thailand) Co., Ltd. is a leading ISO 9001:2000
certified international general insurer with annual
premium income of over Baht 2,000 million. The company
employs more than 400 dedicated and service-minded staff
at its head office in Bangkok and in a nationwide
network of 12 branches and service offices.
In October 2003, we received ISO9001:2000 accreditation
for all our internal processes. This achievement, an
international recognition of quality, underlines the
company's commitment to put our customer's satisfaction
first.
In September 2004, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance (MSI), a
leading Japanese general insurer signed an agreement to
purchase the general insurance operations of the Aviva
International Insurance plc group in Singapore, Hong
Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Macau
and Brunei. MSI agreed to purchase all of the Aviva
group's shareholdings in Aviva Insurance (Thai) Co.,
Ltd. and this share transfer was finalised on March 1st
2005. MSIG Insurance (Thai) is now a proud affiliate
company of the MSI group.
The MSI group operates in 38 countries providing a full
range of general insurance products and services. In
2006, MSI NWP income was US$12,466 million (Baht 473,700
million). Its current total assets is approximately
US$80,447 million (Baht 3 million)
