ANZ in Thailand
ANZ was the first Australian and New Zealand based bank
to establish a presence in Thailand with the opening of
a representative office in Bangkok in 1985.
As a representative office, ANZ cannot provide direct
banking services in Thailand, but it works closely with
the ANZ network to arrange facilities for companies
doing business in Thailand.
ANZ in Thailand can provide guidance to companies
wishing to undertake trading activities in Thailand as
well as assistance in specific trade transactions by
facilitating the selection of an appropriate Thai bank
for the issuance of import Letters of Credit and
subsequent introduction to the selected bank. Other
product areas we provide guidance on are Project Finance
and Private Banking.
Generally, ANZ in Thailand provides advice to customers
to assist them to identify opportunities for investment
and potential joint venture partners in Thailand and
organises introductions to Thai corporations and
government officials.

any products of its own. Its aim, however, is to promote
and market ANZ's services and trade finance capabilities
on a worldwide basis.
